Fatty acids from cold-water fish such as salmon and mackerel also promote clear vision.

Vitamin C, which can be found in citrus fruits; vitamin E, which can be found in almonds; and zinc, which can be found in eggs, are essential in maintaining healthy eyesight!


Here are a few eye exercises to try:


Using your thumbs, massage your temple in small circles. 20 times backwards, and 20 times forward. Repeat these actions in-between your eyebrows and below the eyes, on either side of your nose bridge.

Palming – Warm your eyes

To be repeated 3 times. Rub your palms together to produce heat, and position them on your closed eyes for 5 seconds.

Get an eye workout

Work eye muscles by looking to the right left, top, bottom, going around clockwise and anti-clockwise.

A few small changes like watching what you eat, and these simple exercises might help keep your eyes sharp for much longer. And remember to wear good quality sunglasses that protect you from 99 to 100 percent of both UVA and UVB light.
