Review: America’s #1 Seattle Pike Chowder

Review: America’s #1 Seattle Pike Chowder
Furbie's Mama
With many restaurants to choose from at One Raffles Place, Seattle Pike Chowder caught my eyes with their dazzling signboard and a vibrant gelato fridge.
Seattle Pike Chowder serves six different type of chowders – New England, Manhattan, Seafood Bisque, Smoked Salmon, Alaskan Fish and Scallop. Together with my colleague, we tried the New England clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl and the lobster roll.
When we asked for recommendations at the cashier, the staff shared with us that their New England clam chowder is America’s number one most talked about chowder. After three consecutive wins for the Nations Best Chowder, their New England Clam Chowder was inducted into the Great Chowder Cook-Off Hall of Fame. In 2006 and 2009, they entered the Seafood Bisque into the competition and took another medal in the Seafood Division.
The New England chowder was delectable, simmered to a thick luscious texture with a generous portion of ingredients. The bread bowl is perfectly toasted, a great companion for the cream based chowder. The portion was just right for two and after finishing our mains, we were still up for desserts!
I had a single scoop of the black vanilla gelato to satisfy my sweet tooth and it was absolutely delicious. The gelato is smooth, dense yet creamy, definitely, a must have! I can’t wait for my next visit.
