My Favorite Acai Bowl Recipe

2 Frozen Bananas

3.5oz Frozen Acai Berries

½ cup other fresh berries

¼ cup water

2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional)

1 cup granola

Fruit toppings (to taste)

  • Blend everything except the granola together until smooth and then scoop mixture into a bowl. Layer with the granola and top with your favorite fruit! An easy, no fuss recipe that gives you a large boost of energy! Image: weneedtolivemore.com

– Improve the digestive system

– Increase sex drive

I discovered this superfood snack when I was living in California. Surrounded by fitness junkies and yoga enthusiasts, there were healthy juicing spots and #eatclean cafes popping up all over.

The “trending” meal then was the acai bowl! Expensive restaurants were incorporating this healthy snack into their brunch menus and fast food chains like Jamaba Juice were offering daily specials. THE ACAI WAS EVERYWHERE.

The only place in Singapore that you can find this sweet treat is at the Evolve Gym café at China Square Central. Sssssh! Don’t spread the word or we’ll all be queuing for days to get a bowl! :P
