  • Ride or Hike up Bob’s Peak. It sits on Queenstown’s Ben Lomond mountain – situated at the end of the town centre. A common claim is that it takes 45 – 60 minutes to hike up the steep terrain with the option to choose from a range of hiking or biking trails. However, ff you’re lazy and unfit like me, board the Skyline Gondola instead for NZD$32. If anything, it’s faster! A word of advice: check out the Peak at sunset. Watching the sun set over The Remarkables is a vision you will never forget, and I’m willing to bet on it.

  • Be a part of history with a bungee jump 450 feet down. Located a mere 45-minute drive from Queenstown, The Nevis, owned and operated by AJ Hackett, is New Zealand’s highest bungee. Set at an epic 143m, or 450 feet, above the Nevis River, The Nevis is situated on private property and promises all thrill-seekers a jump to remember. If that’s not enough of an adrenaline rush for you, give The Nevis Swing – New Zealand’s biggest swing – a try as well.At the end of your 8.5 seconds worth of free fall, you get a complimentary t-shirt to commemorate your jump!

  • It’s a glacier, don’t slip! Named after New Zealand’s then Prime Minister, Sir William Fox, the Fox Glacier is13km long and located in Westland Tai Poutini National Park. Based only 23km south of the internationally recognised Franz Josef Glacier, the Fox Glacier has been steadily retreating over the past century and has substantially shrunk in comparison to the former. In 2009, two tourists were killed while hiking on the glacier so keep within safety boundaries and ware of unstable ice platforms while on tour!
