Love our zesty website and want to be a contributor?
Before you submit, please run through our contributor guidelines.

What should I write about?
Medhatter.sg has key sections such as Ask the Expert, Wellbeing, Foodie, Escapes, Face and Body, In the Hat, Medhatter TV.
We welcome anything with a health slant or that’s inspiring – personal experiences, DIY tips, product/restaurant reviews, great holidays, tech know-how etc. Please write in the first-person i.e. use the “me” voice as much as possible, preferably accompanied by facts and quotes from relevant people.
Is there a fee for writers?
No, unless it is an assigned post. However, all our contributors will receive a byline and two-sentence bio that includes a link or two to whatever you’d like to promote — your website, Twitter feed, latest ebook, etc. We’ll also share your post in our newsletter, and on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, to help you reach as many readers as possible.
How long should my articles be?
Short posts can be up about 150 words. For features, please aim for 300-900 words.
Should I pitch you my idea before writing the post?
If you’d like to, go ahead. But we’re happy to consider a draft as well. Please send via google doc to firstname.lastname@example.org
Do I need to include pictures and links within the piece?
Yes. A picture tells a thousand words. We would love it if you can include original pictures or links that will be helpful and relevant for the reader – they can be to appropriate posts on your site or on any other news site or blog. When you can link to other posts on Medhatter.sg, that makes us happy, too.
Insert links in your copy via anchor text or keywords, for example, like this if you’re writing about Easter Recipes
Do I need a headline?
Yes, make it an attention-grabbing headline but we might need to tweak it for SEO (searchability) and tonality.
Who will be editing my story?
Our editor will edit for content and clarity, doing our best to preserve your voice. You’ll be able to see our edits in your Google Doc if you send it through google document.
Always write the post in blog style, with short paragraphs and do include sub-headings.
What should I do after I submit my post?
When it runs, we hope you’ll be active in the comments, responding to readers’ questions or thoughts.
We look forward to your contribution!
