Do I look like a whale in this?

Beat the bloat! While belly bloating is so common, many of us just live with the discomfort, we can actually do something about it.
Many times it can be caused by what you eat, leaving even the fit feeling fat. On the other hand, bloating can also be the result of fluid retention or gas trapped in our digestive system.
Here’s a battle plan to fight bloating. Even though we can’t be sure, salt is one of the main culprits, so steer clear of packaged and other foods that are high in sodium. This includes fatty food, alcohol, raw vegetables, sugar substitutes and of course carbonated drinks.
So, is bloating normal? Will it go away?
Yes, it is normal and it will go eventually go away.
But why endure something you can avoid? Do something by:
1) Watching fibre intake. Some fibre is good for you but overdoing it may stress your digestive system and actually cause you to produce more gas. Fibre that will do you good include whole wheat pasta instead of white pasta, oatmeal instead of cornflakes. Oatmeal is actually one of the best whole grains to fight bloating.
2) Drinking more water to combat excess fluid retention. Water helps flush out excess sodium and fluids from your body, and like fibre, drinking plenty of water can help prevent constipation (another cause of bloating),.
In the meantime, if you feel like you’ve swallowed a beach ball, avoid looking obsessively at your body. Go drink some water. The bloating will pass.
