Coca Cola polar bears

I’m not a regular Coke drinker, but I love how Coke plays with graphic arts. Coca Cola has had a love affair with the polar bear since 1993 when the image of the cute Arctic resident was adopted by Ken Steward and animation company Rhythm and Hues. Spotted at The Market Place at – the Hillview 2 Mall – pencil sketches from the original storyboard. For some nostalgia, watch the first television ad featuring Coke-swigging polar bears or shop for memorabilia.
New Year, new decor
It’s a couple of weeks to the Chinese New Year and, hopefully a peaceful and auspicious Goat Year. For fortune, get decked in blues and greens advise feng shui masters. But for home décor, check out CB2 for less “disposable” and more designer centric furniture.
I’m interested in these pendant lamps in white fabric. Modern and with clean lines, they add sophisticated style to both living and bed rooms without taking centre stage.
CB2’s graphic wall papers can be a great DIY exercise. Designed by Chicago-based Noel Ashby, Orbit features imperfect circles with an outer space feel – perfect for our office meeting room which needs something to create a stark contrast to add some much needed punch and energy.
Our 4 by 4 m wall will need 3 rolls. What do you think?
Hmm, and along with it, I might want a black and white rug like the Lapplju Rug from Ikea, $139.
Browhaus Heavy-Duty Bi-Liners
When we shop for a new eyeliner, the number one criteria for most of us is its waterproof quality. Browhaus, the perfect brows people, have done one better with their new Bi-Liners that double up as eye shadow on top of being gel eyeliners. The rubbery tip at the other end allows you to smudge the eyeliner. Described as waterproof and able to last up to 24 hours, pick from 5 lovely shades that will take you from day to night.
