CHICAGO – 10 must-see places

1. The Art Institute
A city tour isn’t complete without the Art Institute. Home to extraordinary paintings, sculptures and statues, the museum hosts original and special exhibitions alongside its permanent collection. Take a cultural break and travel through time, space and imagination of the artists.
2. Millennium Park
A walk in the Millennium Park will help you understand how art, landscape and architecture play a major role in the city. My favourites – the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the Cloud Gate (known as the “bean” by the locals), the Crown Fountain.
3. Grant Park & Buckingham Fountain
Somewhere in the centre of Grant Park is one of the largest fountains in the world. Inspired by a fountain in the Versailles Palace near Paris, the almost 90-year-old fountain with bronze seahorses is best seen after dark. Admire the water jet shooting up to a grand 46m accompanied by music and spotlights.
4. Lincoln Park Zoo
Free entry to one of the oldest zoos in the U.S. and it boasts an impressive collection of wildlife too. So well maintained that reviews are mostly positive, so make a stop here to stretch your legs and relax with a cuppa at the entrance.
5. Skydeck – Willis Tower
The autoguide will help you grasp better The Windy City’ history and you can find all the references you need to find your way in the streets.
6. Cocktail at Hancock Tower
Wind down with a cocktail and enjoy an amazing view of the city from the 96th floor of the Signature Lounge. Go right before sunset to appreciate the transformation of the city as night falls. If you are fearless, try “TILT” the Hancock tower attraction that offers visitors a unique view while lying on a glass floor… Be ready!
7. Museum of Science & Industry
