I’ve always believed that whatever your skin type is, you can create a regimen with quality items at modest prices. Whether your skin is normal or combination, oily, dry or mature, or sensitive, you don’t have to splurge to find something that will work for you.

For instance, for my oily-combination skin, I’m happy with drugstore brands like:

  • Neutrogena – Neutrogena the #1 Dermatologist Recommended skincare brand offers a wide range of skin and hair care products.
  • Cetaphil – Originally dubbed “Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion”, the first product was invented by a pharmacist in 1947 for dermatological needs. In its early years, Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion was only available from select pharmacists but as a highly recommended product for common skin conditions by dermatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, it soon could be found in almost any pharmacy.
  • Aveeno – With a reputation for developing effective products, the Aveeno brand is trusted by consumers and recommended by healthcare and beauty professionals.

(These brands were recommended by my dermatologist. I was confident they would work for me as these big companies put a ton of money into research and development.)
