You’ll be in need of a Band-Aid once you’ve seen Bang & Olufsen’s latest collection, The Love Affair Collection. This collection will not disappoint and pays homage to 6 of the Bang & Olufsen’s most current and iconic designs in Rose Gold. The Love Affair is the perfect celebration of the Danish electronics company’s past and present; embodying the passion, pride, and persistence the company has been synonymous with for the last 90 years.

Why Rose Gold? Bang & Olufsen chose to release the revamped products in this dreamy, sweet shade as it represents love. (White gold means friendship, while yellow gold symbolises fidelity.) With the addition of a “90” logo, this new series is both a celebration and commemoration of how long they’ve come since they started just after World War I. “This has been a love affair that lasted for 90 years, and we’re sure it will go on for a very long time.”

The new collection aside, we quickly fell in love with the newly launched BeoSound Moment, a wireless music system that unifies your music and streaming services. The top of the new BeoSound Moment is a detachable and double-sided interface that offers two different listening experiences.

The aluminum façade contains a delicate touch screen where you can browse the endless online music catalogue, your favourite playlists and share your music collection. Located on the right of the wooden side, one tap is all it takes for BeoSound Moment to access a sound experience that is perfectly attuned to your daily rhythm.

After speaking with B&O’s Product Category Manager, Mr Theis Mark, we discovered a bit more about the world’s first piece of technology that boasts a touch-sensitive wood interface.

Medhatter (MH): When you brought up the colour wheel, we immediately thought of mood rings and how the temperature of your skin can change the colour. Do you think it’s possible in the future, for the device to choose songs based on the temperature of the person’s touch?
