Bake your Own Banana Chips

There’s a wide variety of healthy snacks available in supermarkets these days but it won’t take you long to get sick of them. Not only are most of them overpriced but there is a ridiculous amount of sugar added to such supposedly healthy snacks. If they were tasteless, no one would buy them.
So, why not save money by making your own healthy snack? Make small portions for eating on the go, at school, the office, in the cinema, for a picnic.
Here’s a banana chip recipe for all you banana lovers out there! It’s so easy and delicious!
- 2-3 just ripe bananas
- Lemon Juice
Preheat oven to 175˚C.
Slice bananas into ¼” slices and lay out in a single layer on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Brush with lemon juice.
Bake until bananas have dried out, 2-3 hours. Cover with parchment paper or foil if bananas start looking burnt. Remove from oven and let cool for another 30-60 minutes (banana chips with crisp more as they cool.)
